Drop Tine In Quanah Parker

Have you heard about the legendary bull named Drop Tine? He gets his name for the drop tine he had on the right side of his rack before the 2009 ice storm. It's not reoccurred since then. The biologists kid around saying he knows how to read. Right after they put up the signs for the elk hunt each year, he leaves his staked out home around the Mt. Marcy, Panther and Cow Creek area to stay in the safety of the headquarters where no hunting is allowed. Late spring he heads over to Quanah Lake to fatten up for the rut in the fall. He is in the 13-14 year old range. Taken at the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge.
